I don't know if this is a possible bug, I already posted the question in the forum (https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/66044/lo-hang-not-replying/) but nobody replies.
My system is PC Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4510U CPU @ 2.00GHz, 2601 Mhz, 2 core, 4 logic processors, 8 GB, Windows 8.1 x64 regularly automatically updated.
For some time I am experiencing strange anomalies, the system is not affected by viruses (both AVG both MS Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool does not detect anything).
It often happens that a LO running program stops responding: I can not close it by traditional methods and even terminate it by "task management", I just have to restart the PC.
The phenomenon has grown worse after upgrading to 5.1.1.3.
At the same time some other programs fail to run (eg: AnyVideoConverter) but may be terminated in the "task management" while others run regularly (eg wordpad Windows Write.exe) as well as all Windows services (task management, control panel, Windows Explorer, etc.).
Recent installations: PDF sam Basic (which works regularly) and corequisite Java 8 Update 73 (JAVA_VERSION="1.8.0_73").
If usefull here the link to look at a zipped SystemInfo saved when (http://1drv.ms/24R7FSO) and attachments LO HANG.jpg, Task managem.jpg, to-day MSINFO.zip.
Have you any notice about?
Thanks for any usefull help.

PS:
I upgraded from 443, then 503, now 511.
I noted too that LibreOffice 5 has gone installed to C:\Program Files instead of C:\Programs(X86): this is probably due to the fact that I have downloaded x64 instead of x86 as before.
Wich the difference?
Is it perhaps here the cause?

Try this: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Resolving_corruption_in_the_user_profile

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.

Hi Buovjaga,
I already tried that but nothing changed, I uninstalled/reinstalled LO but nothing changed, I runned WiseRegistryCleaner and DISM.exe/online/cleanup-image/scanhealth and restore too /as suggested on MS forum, but nothing!
I am almost desperate, any flash of genius before recovering my OS to an old image?
Thanks.

I don't know what to suggest. I don't know how to debug a hang.
Comment 7 Buovjaga 2016-03-14 13:53:41 UTC
You could try

!analyze -hang

to replace !analyze -v in these instructions: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/How_to_get_a_backtrace_with_WinDbg

You can read about it in the Windbg help.

Or better:
!analyze -v -hang

For a full information:
Actually PC restarting is very slowed and I get also a RunDLL warning saying it is not possible to find the module AccusinglyCertes.dll.

About WinDbg:
I tried to execute all as instructed but at the end, LO not replying, where the instructions say "You will notice that the command field has returned to white, so click in the field and type in !analyze -v, followed
by pressing enter", I don't get the command field editable, so I did Ctrl+break in order to enter the string.
The backtrace1.txt. attached is what I got inserting the string !analyze -v.
The backtrace2.txt. attached is what I got inserting the string !analyze -v -hang (in this case the analysis was not going to complete and so it seems the otput; also windbg hanged and I had to terminate by task management).

If some else is needed let me know.
I remain awaiting a response asap, please.
Thanks.

Further tests.
- run the harder "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbam.exe" and some malware found and corrected ....(no more RUNdll error).
- uninstalled and reinstalled LO.
- restarted PC (still a little slow).
- launched WinDbg.
- opened an .ods file, I can edit it, but LO does not respond to "open" of another file or "save as" of that already opened.
- performed simply "save", it seems executed, but then LO hangs ... and also WinDbg seems in hang state(command line still"* BUSY * debuggee is running").
- break and command line gets editable, so I entered "!analyze -v -hang", copied and saved the exception analysis to backtrace3.txt (here attached).
- exit from WinDbg but still unable to close LO (its window is gray and no command is possible, neither reduce it to an icon clicking on "-").
- looking at task mgmt LO appears in "Applications" as "no reply" and in "Background processes" in two rows (LibreOffice and LibreOffice Calc), all with 0%CPU, here theese two entries can be "terminated", not the entry in "Applications".
- after that, starting again the PC and running Calc, it asks for restoring of the file previously running, going to restore, it gets restored as previosly saved, but now all is again as before (it is not possible to "save as", and simply saving LO again hangs).

I really hope this is usefull to find the solution, I am desperate enough.
Thanks very very much.

Hi Buonvjaga,
I'll wish to know if I may await for a response from experts as don't know if the attached infos and backtraces are good and sufficient.

You just have to wait. Or if you don't want to wait and can pay for support: https://www.documentfoundation.org/certification/developers/
Comment 17 gmarco 2016-03-28 17:57:50 UTC
Needing to solve the problem, I uninstalled all the pgms I had recently installed, unfortunately without result.
I repeat that no scan detected malware (AVG, MS Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool, DISM.exe/Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth, SFC /SCANNOW, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbam.exe).

In the absence of alternatives I restarted from a previous backup/image and step-by-step reinstalled all the pgms I had lost except for
Advanced Pdf to Word Converter (http://download.cnet.com/Advanced-PDF-to-Word-Converter/3000-10743_4-10900586.html)
and PDF sam Basic (https://github.com/torakiki/pdfsam/releases) and its corequisite Java 8 Update 73 (https://www.java.com/it/download/:
both them were running fine but I don't need.

I then performed a clean boot without encountering problems.
Finally now LO is working regularly.

Therefore is it logical to assume some incompatibilities with some of pgms not reinstalled? perhaps Java or PDFtoWord?
At the moment, having lost a lot of time, I do not dare to do other tests at the risk of destabilizing the PC again.
If, by analyzing the documentation provided, you spot some cause, let me know.
Thanks anyway.

Well, if the report was about LibO Base, it uses Java. But your screenshots are not about Base, but Calc.. anyways, let's close.

Yes, the report was posted about Base, but the problem occurred with any component (soffice.exe too), so screenshots related to Calc.
