The menu bar uses writing (letters) whose grey colour is quite close to the background. A fresh writer document uses black letters.

stderr fills with:

warn:vcl.gdi:12588:1:vcl/headless/svpgdi.cxx:755: unsupported SvpSalGraphics::drawPolyPolygon case
Comment 1 Lionel Elie Mamane 2016-03-17 13:49:33 UTC
Sorry, too much copy/paste from previous bug. There is *NO* "unsupported SvpSalGraphics::drawPolyPolygon case" on stderr.
Comment 2 Lionel Elie Mamane 2016-03-17 13:52:30 UTC
For full clarity, in master, the menu is fully functional.
Comment 3 Lionel Elie Mamane 2016-03-17 14:10:14 UTC
And the menu entries themselves (that appear when the menu is open) use black letters. Only the menu headings are affected.

Since my bug report seems to say it happens only in *debug* *build*, trying with a release download would be of absolutely no interest, and give no information.

I tried with a more recent build, cannot reproduce. Let's just close it.

Hi Lionel,
Yep, I realized after I sent the message...
What about bug 98724?
