If you create an xy scatter in calc with two (or more) series you can add data labels which refer to categories. However for each series the labels start from the top of the list rather than for the correct data row.

See example. There are 8 pieces of data: a-h are labels and the numbers provide an xy position for the point. These data are then divided into two series. Note that the category labels are a-d for both series rather than a-d and e-h as would be correct. Each graph can only have one selected range for data labels.

If you want to do this from scratch:
1. open calc and create three columns of data x-values, y-values and cat labels
2. create a scatter graph but divide the data into two series
2a - you can only set one range for all of the data labels
3. create labels for both series - set to category
4. bug should be visible

If you know any workarounds / solutions for this then please let me know.

thanks
