Before redesign of menu (btw, I like this new approach), it was much easier to change case (upper, lower, sentence case). Just three click: Format -> Change Case -> Upper case (for example).

However, now you need to go Format -> Text -> Change case (which is the last item) -> Upper case.

It makes this very commonly use option very difficult to access. I am a regular user (writing my PhD thesis as well as writing reports on daily basis) and I find particualry this change unsatisfactory for daily use. My suggestion is to provide direct link (eliminate "Change case" menu), so you can access it by "Format -> Text -> Upper Text" (or lower). "Change case" menu item, as intermediary, is unnecessary.

Please find this just as suggestion based on my experience. Perhaps someone else experience is different.

Reproducible: Always

Hi Ljiljan,

Glad that you like the new menus. The change was already made in master for upper and lowercase and will be available in 5.2. https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/#/c/22028/

If you use upper and lower case alot, then i'd recommend you unhide their buttons in the formatting toolbar (View > Toolbar > Customize), add shortcuts to the functions (Tools > Customize > Keyboard), or use Shift + F3 to cycle between uppercase, lowercase and title case.
