I am using LibreOffice (fresh) 5.1.1-3 in Arch Linux with TexMath 0.42.
This happens on two different machines (a desktop and a laptop). Once
a TexMath equation has been created, it cannot be modified. If I try
to change it, instead of changing, it just keeps blowing up in size.

I downgraded Libreoffice to 5.0.4.3 and the whole thing works perfectly
fine. I have attached some screenshots to show what's going on.

Why not report the bug to the extension creator? https://sourceforge.net/p/texmaths/bugs/
