Dear all,

I noticed that the default keyboard shortcut for inserting a comment in Writer is `CTRL + ALT + C`. 

In MS Office Word, on the other hand, `CTRL + ALT + M` is used as the default shortcut. 

Is there any reason why Writer does not use the same to make it more intuitive for the average MS Office user to switch?

you can define your own shortcuts at menu Tools - customize - keyboard

Sorry, but actual writer users use `CTRL + ALT + C`. If we change it, then these users will fill new bugs :-)

Thank you for your comment!

I might consider customising the shortcut or accustom myself to Writer's default. 

I respect the intentional choice then made by the developers to go for a different shortcut than the MS Office folks.
