When embedding fonts in a Writer document, the file gets incredibly large, way beyond practical use. A single 17K file with 1ยง grows to 94MB Steps to reproduce 1) Open a blank file, type some text, save it with name test-without-embeded-fonts.odt 2) Activate File - Properties - Fonts and mark Embed fonts in document 3) save file with name test-with-embeded-fonts.odt (you will notice the time it takes to save the file) 4) with the file manager, compare the files Actual results: A file with dozens of megabytes Expected results: a file with a few megabytes more.
On Windows 10 Pro 64-bit en-US with Version: 5.1.2.2 (x64) Build ID: d3bf12ecb743fc0d20e0be0c58ca359301eb705f CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Windows 6.19; UI Render: default; Locale: en-US (en_US) Confirmed.
On windows embedding in an .ODT document with a single font bumped from ~9KB to ~11MB
