Description barnaby.ash 2016-05-04 16:52:08 UTC
1.) Start a Document
2.) Click in Footer
3.) Click insert -> image
4.) (Insert an image) (Footer image is completely visible as footer)
5.) Save as .docx
6.) Close document
7.) Reopen document

Footer image is now obscured by white box

8.) Click in footer
9.) Click Format Footer
10.) Transparency Tab -> Set to 100%
11.) click Apply

Footer image is now visible once more

12.) Click save as a .docx
13.) Close Document
14.) Reopen document

Footer image is now obscured by white box

Essentially the behaviour appears to be that the footer transparency is NOT saved/loaded correctly when using a .docx (2007-2013).

Workaround for now would be good but can't seem to find one.

On closer inspection, turned out my document was somewhat corrupted. Multiple footers of different styles on top of each other. Reproducing the document from fresh solved the issue. Apologies for the inconvience.
