Description Tim Chambers 2016-05-17 04:31:37 UTC
if I go to tools - options - LibreOffice - personalization and select "Own Theme" I have to download a new theme every time.

However, in my user profile at
C:\Users\timch_000\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4\user\gallery\personas

there are copies of many themes I have tried out.

It would be great to have access to these through the above interface

OK, I guess..

You can choose in installed Personas by using the Expert Configuration. Unfortunately the Firefox function provided by the Personas Plus add-on is not available in LibreOffice.

On Advanced Settings > Open Expert Configuration
Search for Persona. You will find two MISC settings Persona and PersonaSettings.
You can edit these string settings.

Persona should be set to	own

and PersonaSetttings should be set to the individual Personas Folder and files found in
the user/gallery/personas folder. For example in the Personas-OCH folder
Personas-OCH/Header.jpg;Personas-OCH/Footer.jpg;#ff0000;#f5f5f5
Where the first # points to the text #rrggbb colour. #ff0000 is plain red in this case. The second colour setting is ignored.

You then need to restart LibO for the settings to take effect.

It would be great if this was incorporated into the Personalisation function.

Thanks! very helpful.

I would suggest that desired behaviour would be to be able to access the saved galley of personas with previews through the standard personalisation dialog. It would provide a much improved customisation ability and the basic structure already exists in the settings and dialogs.

With the latest changes we provide much easier ways to deal with personas. There are the list of predefined themes as well as access to FF. I expect the FF persona to be overridden when another is chosen, so this issue here is obsolete. The use case to add own themes should be solved per extension providing means to remove the manually installed options out of the box. My take: WF.

Firefox/Mozilla personas feature was removed as per ESC and Design Team decisions.
