It is not possible to color a entire table in one font color.
(If you have used differnt colors inside(!) table elements before).

MS EXCEL can make it :-)

Colors of fonts change to color as applied using the font color button from the Style and Formatting toolbar.

Sorry. The first screenshot was wrong. Please try this "one table field" with different colors.
Comment 3 V Stuart Foote 2016-05-17 23:21:32 UTC
Actually, done that way you simply have applied additional direct formatting of color to the text in Cell A1.

After selection, clear the direct formatting from the selection, and then apply the replacement color.

But if I clear the "direct formatting" I lose more then the color. Also the font size and the font change to default, table frames are gone filling as well.

I want keep the table as he is, just wanna make one font color in the hole table.

Why it is posssible if I just mark one row? It is inconsequence.

Understood. Assign modified styles rather than direct formatting.

Do not beleive that is the case. If you select a row or a column or the full sheet and apply a font color change--the cells with direct formatting applied (differing from the style of the cell) will retain it.

But, you can change the direct formatting of just the color for a specific cell or group of cells while not changing any of the other direct formatting.

Frank, Stuart: what do you want to do with this report? Resolved or something else?
Comment 7 V Stuart Foote 2016-05-25 15:05:27 UTC
Suppose there is an enhancement here somewhere to allow global color reset of for a sheet or range of selected cells (apply to style defaults, and also against any applied direct formatting).

File to reproduce

I have attached a small ODS file which could be used to reproduce this issue.

The file contains two cells with content. B1 contains three lines, with the second lined formatted with red color.

Now select all cells (Ctrl+A) and choose another color. You will see that everything is changed to the new color except for the line that has been formatted with red color.

I'm not sure if this is the desired behavior or a bug.

Maybe this is related to #90781 ?
Comment 9 Thomas Lendo 2018-03-13 23:31:11 UTC
I confirm different behavior of colorizing depending on how cells or cell ranges are selected. See bug 39969 comment 17. To complicate the situation, it seems that it also depends on the LibreOffice version with that a file is created.
Comment 10 naitsirch 2020-12-14 13:27:40 UTC
This issue still exists in LibreOffice 6.4.7.2, although a similiar issue (inline formatting of font size) has been fixed (see #90781).
