Trying to open both B.xls and C.xlsx produce a not working as error message shows with Dialog box: Title: LibreOfficeDev 5.2.0.0.alpha1 Description: General Error. General input/output error. I can't reproduce the issue with my created files and with the attached files: Win10x64 Version: 5.2.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: 7b704dfbdb23540ff6366fa60c73474bbda9dc26 CPU Threads: 4; OS Version: Windows 6.19; UI Render: default; TinderBox: Win-x86@39, Branch:master, Time: 2016-05-20_05:45:40 Please try resetting the user profile, sometimes solves strange issues. https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile Usually it's enough renaming/deleting the file "user/registrymodifications.xcu", it affects all the options in Menu/Tools/Options, and the files "user/basic/dialog.xlc" and "scrip.xlc" are overwritten, additionally custom colors in "user/config/standard.soc" are lost.

Dragged C.xls into: Drop a document here or pick an app from the left side to create one. 4. Error dialog box, as attached, returned.
