Screenshot? Desktop environment? Font settings? Anything?

27-inch 2011 iMac running OS 10.11.4.

Whenever I try to get screenshot the tooltip disappears.

The tooltip is just marginally too small to hold all of the text which describes the item which the mouse is hovering over

Alternatively, the tooltip isn't quite wide enough (horizontally) and it just clips the edge off the last letter of the tooltip on the right.

You should be able to replicate this form what I've told you but I will look on my system for the exact screen resolution.

When running at 2560 x 1440 this bug is not apparent, however this resolution is not appropriate for me to use as I find the screen contents difficult to read

This bug also exhibits in Calc, impress, Draw, Math (for some reason it's more noticeable here) on the system as originally detailed above. May not be worthy of an individual bug report fir each program as I assume it uses common code between all programs?
Comment 13 Gert Van Waelvelde 2016-06-24 22:42:20 UTC
I have changed the component to UI, because this bug appears in other LibreOffice programs as well, so it a general UI issue, not an application specific one.

Also, this might be a duplicate of bug 91533.

No repro with

Version: 5.3.0.0.alpha0+

Comment 15 Alex Thurgood 2016-08-31 13:14:45 UTC
Reproduced with

Version: 5.2.0.4
Build ID: 066b007f5ebcc236395c7d282ba488bca6720265
Threads CPU : 2; Version de l'OS :Mac OS X 10.11.6; UI Render : par défaut;
Locale : fr-FR (fr.UTF-8)

With FR locale, the tooltips are quite clearly truncated within the confines of the tooltip box.
Comment 16 Alex Thurgood 2016-08-31 13:16:25 UTC
I see the same truncation if I switch to en-GB locale in :

The same on my screen.

This should no longer be reproducible on 6.3.x and 6.2.4+ with [1] applied. Please test a daily build [2].
