Hi, I join a .doc that does'nt render corectly neither in LO 5.3 master nor in LO5.2. In addition, LO crashes after having loaded the doc (if I change the zoom level for instance). I attach also screen capture of MSWord and LO 5.3 to easily compare the rendering results. I hope that will help developpers to improve that great software ! Thanks. Aurélien

Hi yuntux, thanks for reporting the issue. There are few issues with the document in LibreOffice. most important: the special fonts that highly influence rendering, especially when those are not available (and that basically is not/ not our bug). Issues 1: file having problems to load > freezing / crashing 2: vertical text in the first cell isn't wrapped in combination with the lacking font (i.e wrong rendering) this causes all the tables to be too high, thus resulting in a broken rendering all in the document 3: objects (circles with characters) not all at the right position - but that may be resolved too when #2 is solved ? Good news: compared with opening in 3.3.0.4, the situation in 5.2.1.2 (also in 4.4.7.2) has already improved considerably :) I'll attach a file with only the first page from your doc - created in Word 2010. Then I'll attach a PDF from 5.2.1.2 And then a PDF from daily master 5.3, where I changed the font in the table (see #2 above) and marked the wrongly positioned objects.
Did an additional test... Removed the font madness in Word 2010 - 'just' Calibre or whatever and small fonts, so that rendering cannot influence the hight of cells and such (In reply to Cor Nouws from comment #4) > 2: vertical text in the first cell isn't wrapped > in combination with the lacking font (i.e wrong rendering) this > causes all the tables to be too high, thus resulting in a broken > rendering all in the document is solved. > 3: objects (circles with characters) not all at the right position > - but that may be resolved too when #2 is solved ? is not solved. Can you please test this yourself maybe and make sure you have the proper fonts on your computer and open the original file :) ?
changing this bug to the problem with the objects only. For the freezing, see https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101777 WRT the fonts: if you have been able to do the test, as I suggested, please report here - for example attach a PDF of the result. thanks, Cor
Hi Aurélien, Sorry, only now seeing your name ;) Will attach a zip with some test files.
