Comment 1 Buovjaga 2016-10-09 17:12:17 UTC
You don't get offered the crash reporter?
Here is a manual way to get crash analysis info: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/How_to_get_a_backtrace_with_WinDbg
Comment 2 Edward Redondo 2016-10-13 14:30:34 UTC
ADD: Calc NOT opening maximized, Word DOES open maximized. ALSO: Crash on Exit happens every time for both Calc and Word.
Comment 3 Buovjaga 2016-10-13 14:59:51 UTC
tecknode: can you try getting a backtrace like I asked in comment 1?

Ok, that doesn't look like a backtrace. If you have any problems with the process, you can join us on IRC: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/GetInvolved#Contact
Comment 6 Edward Redondo 2016-10-17 15:42:55 UTC
I did try WinDbg backtrace several times but it NEVER WORKED.

WinDbg return text says it could not find data (or something like that).

It may be that having WinDbg running in background keeps the crash from happening.
Comment 7 Buovjaga 2016-10-17 16:32:50 UTC
One more thing, is this setting enabled: Tools - Options - LibreOffice - View - Use OpenGL for all rendering?

NOTE that my rig is Win7 64bit, and this problem has to do with 32bit MSVCR120.dll, the version of MSVCR drivers I have installed are 64bit AND 32bit. Has soffice.bin been verified to work with ALL versions of MSVCR120.dll?
Comment 13 Edward Redondo 2016-11-05 14:08:30 UTC
NOTE: Verified I have the latest versions of MSVCR120.dll (v12.0.21005.1) both 64bit and 32bit.
Comment 14 tommy27 2016-11-26 05:37:25 UTC
latest LibO release is 5.2.3.3 which makes LibO 5.2.2.2 obsolete.

please upgrade and retest with a new user profile ( https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile ) and give feedback about the bug status.

NEEDINFO until then
Comment 15 Edward Redondo 2016-11-28 16:06:02 UTC
As you can see LO 5.2.3.3 still has the problem of crashing on exit.

Just to get some variety in testing, you could try a fresh master build: http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/Win-x86@42/current/
It installs in parallel.
Comment 17 Edward Redondo 2017-01-14 16:48:52 UTC
Just updated to LO v5.2.4.2, ALL LibreOffice modules (Calc, Writer, etc) crash on Exit. Note that if I have more than one LO module open (2 Calc sheets or Calk + Writer) the crash happens when I close the the last open module.

ALSO: This may be a different issue, I have Update Checks daily but I am NOT getting notifications and manual checks always say 'Up to date' (like I was running LO v5.2.3.2 but had to goto LO site to see v5.2.4.2)

Comment 18 Buovjaga 2017-01-14 17:02:17 UTC
There were recent fixes to "crash on exit" in connection with having something in the clipboard: bug 104830 and it's "See also" have more info.

Fixing these were seen as a reason to hasten the release of 5.2.5. So keep and eye on http://www.libreoffice.org/download/pre-releases/ - a release candidate should hit it next week.
