Description John Maguire 2016-12-29 01:21:15 UTC
Description:
Re: v5.2.4.2 would not print, repeated crashes. Uninstalled and reloaded with no improvement.

Today was not a good day. Windows 10 Version 1607 last update 2016-12-14

Printing from other application not affected. Only LO v5.2.4.2

No loss of love for the application. ;)

Regards

John

Steps to Reproduce:
1. invoke default printer
2. crash - send crash report? yes
3. close program
4. reload program
5. reload document
6. recover document invoked - success
7. send to print
8. go to 2 x3

Actual Results:
Program crash

Expected Results:
Print

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No. I did unload the application using Revo Uninstaller Pro which removes nearly all lingering data. Reload 5.2.4.2 with the same results.

Additional Info:
Loaded v5.2.2.2 works fine.

No loss of love for the application. Great app. Donated $$ and will again. ;)

For the test, could you rename your LO directory profile? (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Windows)
Also, if you still reproduce this, would it be possible you attach an useful backtrace? (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugReport/Debug_Information#Windows:_How_to_get_a_backtrace)

Might be a dup of tdf#104952

Please verify if some printer on the system is selected as default. If not, please select one and test if the issue remains.

I have had some time ago problems with some program, althoug not with LibreOffice.

Now that it's supposed to be resolved, I hope John will give some feedback:
- which printer is that?
- please test with LO 5.3.0.2 and 5.4 master (you may use "parallel" LO)

Actually both are most likely dups of Bug 105015.

Let's be confident and put this one as DUP.

John: don't hesitate to reopen this tracker if you can still reproduce this with 5.2.5 (you can try its prerelease if you don't want to wait, see https://www.libreoffice.org/download/pre-releases/)
