Description bugzilla 2017-01-13 20:48:16 UTC
This bug was filed from the crash reporting server and is br-a7a85b6a-5339-4275-8e3c-db3a79d3a11a.
=========================================

Since updating from LO 5.2.2.2 to 5.2.4.2, Calc crashes at every attempt to start. Writer and Draw work ok. See crash report above. Resstarting PC has no affect. (Win 7 SP1)

Details:
Calc attempts to open but is blank, then error box appears: "LIBREOFFICE HAS STOPPED WORKING. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." CLOSE PROGRAM

I'll await a response before I try attempt any fixes.

Thanks, Allan.

I'm puzzled as to why this bug has been classed a duplicate of bug 105015.

I can't get Calc to even start, whereas bug 105015 refers to fonts not being rendered correctly. Have I missed something?

Finally, which LO version should I try to get Calc working again, perhaps 5.2.2 or 5.2.3 ??

It is a duplicate of bug 105015 because it has the same cause affecting all LibreOffice modules. The http://crashreport.libreoffice.org/stats/signature/SalAbort(rtl::OUString%20const%20&,bool) has recorded 7525 crash reports in the 5.2.4.2 build and probably 30% are against calc. It is the same issue ;-)

The patched 5.2.5.1 build is on the pre-release server.

http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/win/x86/LibreOffice_5.2.5.1_Win_x86.msi

back up a directory if you prefer the 64-bit build.

Phew, sanity restored. 5.2.5.1 version of CALC starts-up ok.

Thanks.
