Description baimafeima 2017-01-16 06:53:48 UTC
Ibus-libpinyin does not work with LibreOffice. This is a critical bug for me as I currently cannot use LibreOffice for any Chinese-related work. Perhaps this information may be helpful: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/IBus#LibreOffice

This issue was discussed on the Solus bug tracker here and identified as an upstream issue: https://dev.solus-project.com/T1753

Are you using KDE? If yes, see bug 34016

Please provide more info about you OS, the LibreOffice version.
Ibus libpinyin works ok in Fedora 25 x64 for me.

I have been using Fedora 26 for almost half a year, and have been using ibus-libpinyin all the time. I can type in Chinese without problem. I have reported several ibus-libpinyin and fcitx related bugs, but they are far more than unusable.

I mark this as WORKSFORME. If you still encounter the same issue, please do the following:
1. Upgrade to a newer libreoffice version and see if the bug is still there.
2. If bug still exists, provide your Operation System information, and copy-paste the text of Help - About LibreOffice.
3. Then mark the bug status as UNCONFIRMED.
