Description:
after install Linux mint 18 mate 64 bit
and update the installation online via internet to the last komponent versions
and select german as system language
in the libre office some messages in menus and windows

are shown in unreadable characters.


Steps to Reproduce:
1. start libre office
2.open: tools-options-libre office-fonts
3. klick under "Fonts settings for HTML, Basic and SQL sources"
   onto the preselected setting "automatic"
   and the line "Fonts settings for HTML, Basic and SQL sources" gets unreadable

Actual Results:  
menu informations gets unreadable


Expected Results:
characters change to unknown ones


Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: reinstall language packs

You haven't specified the version you're using, but it looks like a duplicate of bug 99446, and should be fixed since 5.1.5, and in all 5.2 releases, including the latest, 5.2.5. Please update your LibreOffice version.
