Description:
Applying the "Small capitals" font effect to text in a text box results in the effect disappearing as soon as something other than the text becomes selected.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a text box
2. Write some text in it
3. Apply the "Small capitals" font effect to the text in the text box (Format > Character > Font Effects)
4. Click anywhere else to deselect the text in the text box

Actual Results:  
The text in the text box does not display the Small capitals effect.

Expected Results:
The Small Capitals effect should be displayed.


Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes.

Seems like a longstanding bug. Someone complained about it in 2013: https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2143697

I'm uasing LibreOffice 5.3.0.3 on openSUSE Tumbleweed with KDE Plasma 5.9.2.
