Description: There is no (obvious) method to conveniently navigate around. I was hoping there might be a "navigation mode" to be toggled on/off by a key-stroke, or, simply hold mid mouse button to grab the canvas. Actual Results: No convenient method to navigate the canvas. Expected Results: A convenient method to navigate the canvas... Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/57.0.2987.133 Safari/537.36
There exist two tools for "Grabbing": In the standard toolbar the symbol "Zoom & Pan". When you hold down Shift-key while dragging with the mouse, you are panning. In the zoom toolbar the symbol "Shift". Leave the mode with Esc-key or "Select" symbol (=white arrow). You can assign shortcut keys to these commands. The idea to use the middle mouse button for it, is already tracked in bug 105418. Besides that, it is not enough to say "no convenient way". But you have to tell in detail, what UI would be "convenient" for you, to make this a useful enhancement request.
