Hi! Fonts do not look good when I'm working on the document. It only happens in this version. The fonts do not look sharp, it's like they're a little smudged. Thanks.
Hello Gabriela, Thank you for reporting the bug. Please attach a sample document, as this makes it easier for us to verify the bug. I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' once the requested document is provided. (Please note that the attachment will be public, remove any sensitive information before attaching it. See https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FAQ#How_can_I_eliminate_confidential_data_from_a_sample_document.3F for help on how to do so.)
Also, if on Windows -- please identify your Graphics GPU and driver, and if you are using OpenGL or Default rendering. See bug 16990 as this is likely a duplicate.

Created attachment 132543 [details] Image Fonts Writer Hi! I send the file you asked for. The fonts appear with different thickness. I don't know if this the information that you request about my Graphics GPU, I hope so: Intel Ivy Bridge-MB - Integrated Graphics Controller. Thanks for your quick response. Have a happy day!
(In reply to Gabriela from comment #3) > Created attachment 132541 [details] > File fonts OK, so guess that means you are on an Intel CPU with HD2500 GPU and Intel drivers, can you enable the OpenGL rendering on your system? Also, can not tell from your clip, what Operating system and Desktop environment are you using? Thanks.
Created attachment 132553 [details] Compare AbiWord and LibreOffice Hi! I send you an image, you can see the difference in the fonts of each program. My SO is Windows 10 Anniversary Update x64. I have enabled OpenGl in my SO, but when I want to enable "Use OPenGl" in LibreOffice, I have to check "Ignore OpenGl blacklist" because the option is not enabled if not active "Ignore OpenGl blacklist". Unfortunately, there´s no difference in fonts. I have used Libreoffice for years and I had not seen something like that. Thanks for your attention.

OK, you have limited function with OpenGL--your GPU is blacklisted from reliable use. The font rendering at 5.3.2.2 has been refactored to use Directwrite rather than GDI calls, but our implementation needs refinement. But your issue is duplicate of bug 106990, and for Impress presentations you will want to follow along with bug 107090 and disable hardware acceleration while presenting. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 106990 ***
