Description Timur 2017-05-17 08:34:54 UTC
Bug 50189 has been resolved by two patches that work for Writer, Calc, Impress on Linux:

http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=0376a4c13ccffa64c938c6361a337264ad8f2b67
"if a font is not available, show its name in italic in the font combo"

http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=17d86df23e7be3ab0a161f69ff0f703728e0e135
"also change the font combo tooltip to say font is not available"

But, this doesn't seem to work for Impress on Windows and should also be added.
Example: attachment 129585 [details] from Bug 104644.

Note: follow up for Bug 50189 are Bug 61134 and Bug 96872.

Please give repro steps. I tried very hard to understand this, on Windows and Linux, but I don't know what is the actual and expected results I should be looking for. Like, where do I click, what to observe.. Do I clear direct formatting first etc.

Thank you for looking into this and sorry for submitting this wrongly.
Since I had multiple bugs at that moment, somehow I disregarded that I had those and some other fonts already installed.
But that's what triaging is about: you helped close this :)
