Created attachment 137038 [details] Not properly achieved Full Screen command (here on Writer as example target). In LibreOffice, the View → Full Screen (Shift+Ctrl+J) command randomly fills the full screen at most once during a user login session but most of the time it never achieves that goal, Ordinary the command produces the result to be seen in attachment. Others non Canonical ‘s applications which also are part of the Linux OS, Fedora 27's or Centos 7.4.1708's official repositories, have their Full Screen command that operate correctly and systematically.
Could you please paste the info from Help - About LibreOffice? I can't reproduce it in Version: 6.0.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 616f21db9e50a77b0c02dfb123f871a742f46216 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.10; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3; Locale: ca-ES (ca_ES.UTF-8); Calc: group on Ubuntu
Version: 5.3.6.1 Build ID: 5.3.6.1-6.fc26 CPU Threads: 2; OS Version: Linux 4.11; UI Render: default; VCL: gtk3; Layout Engine: new; Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); Calc: group
Could you please try to reproduce it with version 5.4.2 of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.
I installed manually successfully LibreOffice_5.4.2.2_Linux_x86-64_rpm, $ su -c 'yum install -y *.rpm', from RPMS folder. Did not have to install separately a version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) that LibreOffice requires. The LibreOffice default installation which by caution I kept, still works. The launch of the newly installed LibreOffice version at best displays the banner specific to LibreOffice and then interrupts itself without opening any window. Fedora encountered error “soffice.bin killed by SIGABRT – abrt”. Attempt to report the issue to Fedora fails as a local stack trace cannot be generated; /var/cache/abrt-di folder size capacity is 1.6 Gt while trace to be downloaded is 2990.12 Mb. Obviously newly installed version is now to be duly removed.
On Centos 7.4.1708 same package installed successfully. Did not have to install separately a version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE). Also the LibreOffice default installation is kept. The launch of the newly installed LibreOffice version worked and the issue persists.
