Cannot paste image from clipboard into writer version 5.4.2.2, using Ubuntu 17.10/Wayland.  Get never ending spinning mouse, have to terminate program and restart.  Work around is to process image (using GIMP) save to a file, and insert image from file.

Could you please try to reproduce it with a master build from http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/ ?
You can install it alongsidethe standard version.
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the master build

I'm currently running Version: 5.4.4.2, and the bug is not present in this version.
