Description Michael Potts 2017-12-23 20:49:42 UTC
Description:
An article begun in Cochin, my default font, is rendered in a typescript font -- UUUGGGLY! -- and Cochin is unavailable in LO ...but it's available everywhere else on my computer (except in LO apps).

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Verify (with a font manager) that Cochin is installed. Use it in another app.
2.Open LO Writer, or open an older file known to have used Cochin
3.Try to change to Cochin, use Cochin -- it is not in the list!

Actual Results:
no joy

Expected Results:
my favorite, most used font

Reproducible: Always

Please identify the format and version information for the font.

If your copy is a PS Type1 version rather than TTF/OTF it will not be recognized by LibreOffice and system will perform font fallback. Windows 3.1 era bitmap fonts are also dropped.

OP responded in PM:

"Thank you for your prompt advisory. I uninstalled the old T1 font and
reinstalled a TTF version ... not as pretty, but at least now I know."
