Created attachment 139172 [details] Screen recorder of the problem when you use the tabbed notebookbar and open the files tab (first one) the new writer, new draw, ... actions didn't open a new file they open an "inline" file like you can see in the screen recorder.
Yes this is a known issue when i added the new document buttons into the File tab. The only new document action that works correctly is new presentation.
do you really want to have something that didn't work is it that importend for you. I would use the default drop down menu button for new file like in the standard toolbar.
The point is to design how we'd want it to look and have devs fix bugs that show up due to the design and not just limit ourselves to what currently works today. This has been the process of the evolution of the NB, like when the glade-based custom group buttons didnt work until a dev fixed it (bug 105672). The simple solution presently for this new document buttons, is to just disable them until a dev is ready to fix the issue, but that could be said about any of the other features that dont work today until a dev fixes it.
the uno command which was used had changed so that it work now.
