This bug occurs when copying a set of slides with an identical title from from Impress instance to another. Example: I have slide set #1, open in Impress instance #1, and want to copy a few slides from that slide set to slide set #2. Let's call the slides that I want to copy slides 1.1 and 1.2 for clarity. Slides 1.1 and 1.2 have the same heading, "Example Heading". When I copy Slides 1.1 and 1.2 to slide set #2 on Impress instance #2, the contents of slide 1.1 incorrectly gets copied to slide 1.2. This has happened several times, and in all cases, it is where multiple slides have the same heading.
It is not clear from the summary or description, what is identical with what exactly. Slides in a single Impress instance cannot have identical names, except if the file is PPTX (bug 103347). I tested by having two Impress instances open, renaming their single slides to have the same name and finally copying a slide from one instance to another. I observed no problem. Please give exact steps and number them. Set to NEEDINFO. Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the information.
