Description: Currently, in order to change the position of a frame or image, one has to right click on the object, go to 'Properties -> Type' and change the position from there. It would be really useful if one could change position from the sidebar, as in the case of other properties, such as brightness, size, rotation, etc. This goes for both images and frames (or whatever object encapsulates it when a caption is created for an image). Perhaps a dropdown with 9 present positions within the page text area (horizontally: top, center, bottom / vertically: top, center, bottom) would allow very quick and accurate placement of figures (instead of the traditional dragging). It should be noted that in the case of images, the sidebar's bottom section reads "Position and Size", even though practically only the size can be changed. :-) Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click on a frame or an image to select it. Actual Results: To change its position Right click, select 'Properties', go to 'Type' tab and select the placement of the image (or click on the hamburger icon on the corresponding sidebar section). Expected Results: The same actions should be possible through the Properties displayed in the sidebar after the image / frame has been selected. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/66.0.3359.139 Safari/537.36 OPR/53.0.2907.37
I support this proposal.
For images the position fits perfectly into the Position and Size panel, and we could add this including width to the frame properties. Sounds like an easy hack.

Not just images - any object for which one can set the size and position (e.g. textboxes, shapes).
