I tried to export attachment 142344 [details]. Result: The rotated image is missing in the epub file. Version: 6.1.0.0.beta1 (x64) Build ID: 8c76dfe1284e211954c30f219b3a38dcdd82f8a0 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL; Locale: de-DE (de_DE); Calc: CL Pete, do you have a normal image or a rotated one?
EPUB export is a work in progress. Please try LibreOffice 6.1.0.0.beta1 https://www.libreoffice.org/download/pre-releases/ Best regards. JBF
(In reply to Jean-Baptiste Faure from comment #2) > EPUB export is a work in progress. Please try LibreOffice 6.1.0.0.beta1 I used LO 6.1 (see in comment 1). So I don't understand your comment. If it is really a work-in-progress feature, I would expect it only in experimental mode.
fixed in bug 115722 @Pete, Please send us a sample document, as this makes it easier for us to verify the bug. I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO', so please do change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' once you have attached a document. (Please note that the attachment will be public, remove any sensitive information before attaching it.) How can I eliminate confidential data from a sample document? https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FAQ#How_can_I_eliminate_confidential_data_from_a_sample_document.3F Thank you
(In reply to raal from comment #4) > fixed in bug 115722 Bug 115722 is about images in general. My observation was, that EPUB-Export of rotated images fails. > Please send us a sample document, as this makes it easier for us to verify > the bug. Please use attachment 142344 [details] from comment 1.
Created attachment 142521 [details] odt file with two pictures included Couldn't attach another file (converted epub).
Tested with LibreOffice 6.1.0 Beta1
Created attachment 142522 [details] Converted epub file
Pete, I couldn't reproduce it with attachment 142521 [details]
Created attachment 142523 [details] png file, screen capture I tested again as standard user, the same result: no pictures. Usually I am logged in as standard user. Now I started Writer as admin and used the same odt test file. Still missing pictures. As admin I had UI language English (USA), so Finnish cannot be the reason either. Sorry, but I have no clue what can be wrong. :(
Created attachment 142524 [details] EPUB export with LO 6.1.0.0.beta1+ (In reply to Pete from comment #7) > Tested with > LibreOffice 6.1.0 Beta1 Really? Your test file suggests you used LibreOffice 6.0.4. Here is my EPUB export done with LO 6.1.0.0.beta1+ built at home under Ubuntu 16.04 x86-64 Best regards. JBF
(In reply to Dieter Praas from comment #5) > (In reply to raal from comment #4) > > > fixed in bug 115722 > > Bug 115722 is about images in general. My observation was, that EPUB-Export > of rotated images fails. Indeed, but the description of this bug report is about images in general. That said I confirm that, in the case of rotated images, rotated images are missing in the generated EPUB file by LibreOffice 6.1.0.0.beta1+ while "normal" images are there. CCing Miklos Vajna who is developing EPUB export. Best regards. JBF
Created attachment 142526 [details] odt file with pictures, original size and scaled on I'll upload the epub file in the next comment.
Created attachment 142527 [details] epub with scaled and original size picture My previous comments vanished... Anyway, I didn't noticed that dev version of LibreOffice did not replaced the original produstion version but existed beside it. So, I launched the wrong Writer when I tested it previously. Sorry...!
Scaling of the picture in the original odt file does not affect to the picture saved in epub file. Should it affect?

JBF It wasn't clear to me, if the initial bug report is about rotated images or not (see my question in comment 1). So if you can reproduce the bug for rotated images I see two possibilities: a) change the bug description to: "EPUB Export: Rotated images become invisible" and set the status to NEW b) open a new bug for that issue

I guess you are asking reply from Jean-Baptiste Faure about rotated images? I was just wondering, why scaled images does not keep their print size. But I can manage without that.
(In reply to Pete from comment #18) > I guess you are asking reply from Jean-Baptiste Faure about rotated images? > > I was just wondering, why scaled images does not keep their print size. But > I can manage without that. No Pete, it was about your original bug report. You wrote, that pictures are not included in the EPUB-File. So the simple question is: If you export a document with a rotated picture and a unrotated picture - What is your result (using LO 6.1)?

Dear Pete, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!
