Description: LibreOffice installation waits on prompt that does not appear until I use task manager to switch to task with prompt. I then OK it and installation proceeds. I did not install as admin. It appears LibreOffice installation may have to run as admin so permission is not required as prompt. I found prompt for permission popped up which is where I got idea to check task manager to see if there were any LibreOffice apps running and there I found LibreOffice installation app was waiting on input but it did not surface to user as prompt till I switched to process and it did. Otherwise LibreOffice install waits forever till I killed install via Task Manager. Steps to Reproduce: 1. download 64 bit Windows 7 version 2. double click on installation package 3. wait 4. no prompt surfaces to OK installation Actual Results: LibreOffice installation waits forever with no progress bar moving until I switch to LibreOffice installation process with Task Manager and get prompt and OK it and proceed with installation Expected Results: LibreOffice installation would continue on with progress bar moving and install taking a few minutes with no need to switch to process via Task Manager to get prompt to OK install Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/66.0.3359.181 Safari/537.36
Hello Dwight, Thanks for reporting this issue. Could you please share the link from where you download the installer ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' once the question has been answered
Created attachment 143598 [details] UAC I do not reproduce. If I install as user, I get admin password prompt. If I do something in the meantime, admin password prompt is minimised to taskbar but still there. When clicked, it can be moved somewhere. In my case, still visible. See Bug 88781.

I don't have screen dump of when I installed it to prove my point that it was hard to install as the OK button was hidden due to installer problem.
