Description Henry 2018-06-11 00:41:18 UTC
Description:
When I select File/printer configuration I try to change the paper size to the actual paper in my printer, but the option to change the paper size is grayed out and not available to the user.

I set the printer with cups web interface. Set the default paper size to Letter. But the Libre Office Writer Versión: 5.2.7.2 Id. 1:5.2.7-1+deb9u4 printer configuration dialogue window stays at the A4 paper size despite the printer defaults being set to Letter by CUPS.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on File, and select printer configuration.
2. See that the option to change paper size is grayed out.
3.

Actual Results:
Paper size is still reported as A4

Expected Results:
Paper size should be reset to Letter.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
[Information automatically included from LibreOffice]
Locale: es
Module: TextDocument
[Information guessed from browser]
OS: Linux (All)
OS is 64bit: yes

Should have let the user set the paper size as he desired. Should not have the paper size command button grayed out on the printer configuration dialogue.

Bug occurs whether or not OpenGL is enabled.

Could you try again with a supported version of LibreOffice? The 5.2 series has reached end of life (I know, our support cycles are too short for Debian). jessie-backports currently contains 1:6.0.5~rc1-2.

You can try with an appimage in case it is more convenient: https://www.libreoffice.org/download/appimage

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.

Since no response, I'll close.
If you still reproduce with current LO, feel free to explain and set Unconfirmed.
