Another approach 1. Open the attached file 2. Scroll to the red text & select it 4. Press save -> notice everything shifting 5. Click in the click here box (again a shift)
(In reply to Telesto from comment #3) > Another approach > 1. Open the attached file > 2. Scroll to the red text & select it > 4. Press save -> notice everything shifting > 5. Click in the click here box (again a shift) Hmm might be something else; also reproducible with 4.3.7.2
(In reply to Telesto from comment #3) > Another approach > 1. Open the attached file > 2. Scroll to the red text & select it > 4. Press save -> notice everything shifting > 5. @Telesto, @Alex Thurgood, would it be possible to record a screencast to make it clearer what the problem is ?
Created attachment 144498 [details] Screencast Screencast with 3 attempts; in which 2 have a drawing error. 1. The first one has a missing border 2. Second attempt (no issue) 3. Third attempt; shifting text It's noticeable on Windows & MacOS. It's more obvious on my Macbook. But no clue why (MacOS/slower CPU/touchpad scrolling/screensize). I reproduced it on Windows back to 5.3.1 (new layout engine). I have the impression that it's also happening with the old layout engine. Might have noticed it few times (but was so minor, that I could barely see it; and I had to try it multiple times)
Note: also happening in normal view & with or without the sidebar
Created attachment 144523 [details] Example file Attempt to simplify the STR 1. Open the attached file 2. Insert a table 2x4 on top of the page 3. Scroll down to page 2 (half way) 4. Menu -> File Reload. -> A part of the text will move when the popup appears
@Telesto, I'm sorry but I don't see the problem in the video attached. Where should I look at?
(In reply to Xisco Faulí from comment #14) > @Telesto, > I'm sorry but I don't see the problem in the video attached. > Where should I look at? At small details ;-) 1. At 0:06. Notice a missing top table border (re-apearing after clicking at Click the cursor here) 2. At 0:22 skip back and forward between 0:22 and 0:23 (and notice the movement) Note: Comment 13 is only reproducible with MacOS. Also found in 4.3.7.2. I attempt to download older version from the archive, but the server is unbearable slow (20 kb/s)
Created attachment 145213 [details] Third Example Attempt to simplify: 1. Open the attached file 2. CDM+A & CMD&C 3. CMD+N 4. CMD+V (hold it for +/- 7 pages) 5. Scroll up (touchpad) (cursor isn't allowed to move, issue will disappear). Mostly there is one table with some 'fat' borders & an embedded table without top border somewhere in the document. Postion is variating.
Dear Telesto, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!
