no crash Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 75a48e37b260c145297261d0e0ab5720894404f1 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 6.1; UI render: default;
JAVA problem? Vera, do you have active option "Use a Java Runtime Environment" in dialogue Tools->Options, LibreOfficeDev->Advanced?
Have in mind that if you use LO 32 bits, you must have Java 32 bits if you use LO 64 bits, you must have Java 64 bits. If this point is ok, you can follow steps from https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps Also, you can give a try to 6.1.2
Bug is reproduced for Linux x86_64 arch release version 6.1.2.1, the same is for 6.0.6.2 (In reply to Roman Kuznetsov from comment #3) > JAVA problem? > > Vera, do you have active option "Use a Java Runtime Environment" in dialogue > Tools->Options, LibreOfficeDev->Advanced? Yes, this option is enabled.

Try disable it and try repeat your crash

I've already done it. Please pay attention, I use LibreOffice 6.1.2 downloaded from here: https://www.libreoffice.org/donate/dl/rpm-x86_64/6.1.2/ru/LibreOffice_6.1.2_Linux_x86-64_rpm.tar.gz
So now there's still https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps and if you reproduce this, you can try to retrieve a backtrace (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugReport/Debug_Information#GNU.2FLinux:_How_to_get_a_backtrace)
I'm not sure which debugging package should I use. Can't find anything suitable in RPMs inside .tar.gz downloaded from LibreOffice site. Here is dbg packages only for deb, as I suppose. https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/ Could you please provide me with the suitable debug package?

This one should be fine https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/Linux-rpm_deb-x86@87-TDF-dbg/current/ then you run it like program/soffice --backtrace OTOH, Could you please paste the info from Help - about LibreOffice ?
While Bugs Hunting session I didn't reproduce the crash for Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha1 Build ID: ff46ad24d1d3cbcea45895520483ed1fd4ff488b CPU threads: 1; OS: Linux 4.14; UI render: default; VCL: kde5; Locale: ru-RU (ru_RU.UTF-8); Calc: threaded BUT the following bug is actual: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120777#c2
Hi Vera, so you reproduce it in 6.1.2.1 but not in master ?
(In reply to Xisco Faulí from comment #15) > Hi Vera, > so you reproduce it in 6.1.2.1 but not in master ? In Description I reproduced it for Version: 6.1.2.1 Build ID: 65905a128db06ba48db947242809d14d3f9a93fe CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.14; UI render: default; VCL: kde4; Locale: ru-RU (ru_RU.UTF-8); Calc: group threaded
There are no debug packages for 6.1, 6.0 releases
in master, do you reproduce it if you use SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kde4 ?
(In reply to Xisco Faulí from comment #18) > in master, do you reproduce it if you use SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kde4 ? Sorry for delay. I've rechecked with the lastest master from here https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@86-TDF/current/?C=N&O=D master~2018-11-04_22.10.34_LibreOfficeDev_6.2.0.0.alpha1_Linux_x86-64_rpm.tar.gz $ SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kde4 libreofficedev6.2 --writer and then, perform steps 2,3 --> Crash is not reproduced
Thanks for retesting with the latest version. Setting to RESOLVED WORKSFORME as the commit fixing this issue hasn't been identified.
Verified because can't reproduce for the next versions. Thanks 2all!
