With the solution to bug 120264 we have an UNO command that should be used at the infobar [1] as well. Furthermore, the current code pops-up the infobar every 30 days, which is too often. Either we never show it again (original suggestion in the marketing-priv ML) or once per major release. Just FYI: some feedback on the infobar thing. https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/175907/get-involved-nag-line/
Solved with https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/#/c/63883/ A few info messages shouldnt be too much for a completely free office suite. The info can be disabled when compiling with LastTimeGetInvolvedShown and LastTimeDonateShown read only or with a very high value under Tools > Options > Advanced > Expert configuration.
Actually, it looks pathetic and desperate. Neither .uno:Donation or .uno:GetInvolved should ever be shown, it looks completely unprofessional. Bug 120271 contains more detail on how users can disable this.
Can I see Screenshot please.
Ah - so, hopefully not too pathetic and desparate =) I believe Firefox and Thunderbird both have somewhat equivalent things built-in and they don't seem to cause much grief. Having said that would like to see the screenshot too - not seen that.
It's the blue notification info bar, not too much to show. It pops up every 90d by default, which was assessed as not too much nagging for a free office suite. Wikipedia/Jimmy Wales is naggier.
