Description: I have moved from Linux Mint 17.1 with LibreOffice 4.2.8.2 to Linux Mint 19.1 with LibreOffice 6.0.7.3 which is the current version in the Linux Mint repositories. I have also installed the flatpak version 6.2.0.3 of LibreOffice to confirm that the issue remains in a later version. On the LO 4.2.8.2 system I have three ttfs installed - Gotham-Rounded-Bold.ttf, Gotham-Rounded-Book.ttf and Gotham-Rounded-Medium.ttf. Each is a variant of font weight for the same font family/name. In LO 4.2.8.2 three fonts are listed in the font drop-down - one for each variant. Installing the same three ttf files in LM 19.1, running LO 6.0.7.3 (and 6.2.0.3), only "Gotham Rounded" is listed in the font drop-down. It appears to be the bold weight variant of the font if I select it. I can confirm that the issue remains if OTF font files are installed instead of TTF files. I can also confirm that all three font variations appear in the font selection drop-downs in another non-LO application (GIMP). LO 6.0.7.3 (and 6.2.0.3) functionality has regressed when compared with 4.2.8.2. Steps to Reproduce: Install the three font files, either TTF or OTF - available from https://www.wfonts.com/font/gotham-rounded 1. Using LO 4.2.8.2, say writer or calc, click on the font drop-down in the toolbar. Note that three variants of the Gotham Rounded font are available. 2. Using LO 6.0.7.3 (or 6.2.0.3), again writer or calc, click on the font drop-down in the toolbar. Note that only one entry for the Gotham Rounded font is available. 3. The single font available appears to be the Bold weight variant, perhaps because it is first alphabetically? 4. It is not possible for the user to select an alternative font weight for the Gotham Rounded font for use. 5. Our company style sheet uses different weights of the same font in documents for different elements (such as headings and body text). Actual Results: In LO 6.0.7.3 (and 6.2.0.3) only one entry appears in the font drop-down. Expected Results: In LO 4.2.8.2 three entries appear in the font drop-down, one for each font weight of the installed font. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: This would appear to be a regression issue between LO 4.2.8.2 and LO 6.0.7.3.

Thank you for reporting the bug. it seems you're using an old version of LibreOffice. Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.
(In reply to Thomas Linard from comment #2) > https://www.wfonts.com/font/gotham-rounded is an intellectual property > infringement and disseminates pirated content, it must be removed from here > or documentfoundation.org becomes an accomplice. IANAL but we should assume OP (or his Company) has procured appropriate license from Hoefler & Co for use of these proprietary/copyright fonts. Like you I find the linked ShareFonts.net to have questionable redistribution rights. The correct procurement of these fonts for testing would be: https://www.typography.com/fonts/gotham-rounded/styles/ But a bit too pricey for QA use on by part. In any case this is a duplicate of bug 35538, or the Linux flavor bug 98596, resolving as such. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 98596 ***
In reply to Xisco Faulí (Comment 3). I have installed LO 6.2.2.2 and can confirm that the issue remains. I have therefore updated the status to UNCONFIRMED as requested.

This is intentional and not a bug. Many fonts have more than R/B/I/BI styles and we want to group them under the same family name.
