Description Jan Spaens 2019-03-12 10:34:09 UTC
Description:
Old version 6.1.2 installed. Original MSI no more available caused refusal to install. I manually deleted the LibreOffice folder in program files, cleaned up the registry by removing all references to LibreOffice. Cleaned the registry with CCleaner. After this: Still no possibility to install.
Any chance to have a clean, no-nonsense straightforward forced install?
As an (retired) 45-year experience behind the belt programmer, thanks in advance.
Jan

Actual Results:
No LibreOffice available on this machine

Expected Results:
Installed version of LibreOffice

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Advise of Julien followed at no avail. Currently impossible to install any version of LibreOffice on this machine.

First of all - of course, it would help to clarify what "refusal to install" means: any error messages? which? as a programmer, you surely understand that "it doesn't work" is a poor description. ;-)

Please check this FAQ [1]. Unfortunately, I chose a poor name for the wiki page when creating, with parentheses; so check that trailing closing parenthesis is included.

If there's nothing that helps, please create a log (see in the end of the FAQ), and provide it here to check.

Thanks!

Meanwhile the problem has been solved and excuse me for not coming back on this.
The Win8 system in case became more and more unstable and I was bound to upgrade or re-install. I chose for the upgrade to Win10. Installation of LibreOffice went OK after that so, whatever the problem was it is no more there.
Thank you for looking into this matter and, most importantly, keep up the excellent work!
Best regards - Jan
