I did a fresh install of Libreoffice 6.2.3. After that, there is no icon of Libreoffice 6.2.3 to start it. Also the installer does not create a menu in program menu. I am using Windows 7 SP1 x64 on my computer.. With Libreoffice, the installer works fine.
Last line in post #1 must be: With libreoffice 6.2.2 the installer works fine.
Hi! Could you please clarify, if LibreOffice actually installs, so that its folder is present in Program Files, with necessary files in it, and you can launch LibreOffice 6.2.3 from there by double-clicking soffice.exe - and the problem is that there's no shortcuts on desktop/in start menu? Or is the problem that LibreOffice fails to be installed completely, with last installer screen telling "The wizard was interrupted before LibreOffice 6.2.3.2 could be completely installed"? Could you please try to stop Windows Update service manually prior to installation (using command line `net stop wuauserv` as administrator), and re-try? I suspect this to be duplicate of bug 124794.
Libreoffice 6.2.2.x installs correctly on my computer completly: 1. The installer creates a icon/link on my desktop (computer: Win 7 x64 SP1) 2. The installer creates a entry in Windows icon -> program files All works fine, as I can see Libreoffice 6.2.3.x does not create: 1. An icon on the desktop of my computer 2. There is no entry in (Windows icon -> program files 3. There is no install content in C:\program file\libreoffice\ 4. The help manual installs correctly.
Thanks; I believe that my assumption was right. I have already prepared a patch for bug 124794. Thanks for reporting! *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 124794 ***
