Description a 2019-06-10 16:55:58 UTC
Description:
It should be obvious to be able to right click or something obvious on something to get rid of it. Instead, if I do some dashes and enter, it makes a line all the way across that I have to spend time and aggravation searching internet for how to get rid of the horrible thing, which is made even worse somehow if I try to delete and it moves other text up above it and I hit enter and it multiplies the line into more horrible lines, and now they are in my bullet items also. Highlighting the line and clicking delete should get rid of it, but no it doesn't. Th horrible lines have now infected multiple bullet points and items because I tried getting rid of them various ways that should have worked. Come on!

Steps to Reproduce:
1.---------
2.enter
3.misery trying to find how to get rid of the line it makes which then multiplies itself if I try to delete and hit enter again because it moved the next lines text up and then I had to hit enter to move it back down. Now I have 4 horrible lines I can't get rid of without searching internet trying to find a way, again.

Actual Results:
aggravation and time wasted

Expected Results:
it should be very easy and obvious and user friendly how to get rid of it! right click and get rid! highlight and delete! something obvious and easy!

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
it should be very easy and obvious and user friendly how to get rid of it! right click and get rid! highlight and delete! something obvious and easy!

Dear bug reporter,
the horizontal line is created due to the activated AutoCorrect option 'Apply border'.

Changing the option:
1. Go to menu Tools > AutoCorrect > AutoCorrect Options...
2. Go to tab Options.
3. Deactivate the 'Apply border' setting by removing the check mark.

Work around to remove a horizontal line without deactivating the option:
1. Select the parapraph or put the cursor into the paragraph, where the line is below
2a. Choose menu Format > Clear Direct Formatting (or type Ctrl + M)
2b. Or got to menu Format > Paragraph, go to tab 'Border' and remove the line that is visible in the 'User-defined' border preview.

I change this to a duplicate of an old existing bug.
If you have further input, please comment on the other bug.

On my test installation of LibreOffice 6.4 this 'Apply border' setting isn't activated by default, so maybe this has been changed.
