It would be very useful to right-click on recent documents in the tiles window and be able to select "Open File Location". I wanted to rename a document and had to open it, "save as" to change its filename and then delete the old file.
Sure, would love to have StartCenter context menu ability to specify a file system location--as alternative to the Open tab which picks its default from Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> Paths: 'My Documents' or as set temporarily to location of the last file edited/saved.
(In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #1) > Sure, would love to have StartCenter context menu ability to specify a file > system location... I read Marco's request as "open default file browser with the location of the file". We kept this can of worms closed in the past, though I've never been happy with the functionality as users do expect file management at the start center. If we introduce a context menu it would also contain of the remove function that is currently only available per click on the top-right x. Would be an improvement for accessibility.
No further input, removing UX.
Created attachment 174440 [details] Screenshot of idea Here is a brighter idea for the feature. Just include a folder button like this (stolen from Firefox, just to give an idea).
Good idea; instead of a context menu we could give access to the contextual functions per toolbar that shows up on hovering.
