Description Steve 2019-08-30 19:33:13 UTC
Description:
Some slides from a powerpoint presentation with images show properly in the edit mode of Impress but show a black screen when in slideshow advance automatically mode. In the example file when F5 is pressed to go into presentation mode page 1 shows properly and advances to page 2 and then shows a black screen in slideshow mode. It does not advance to page 3

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Load file into Impress.
2.Press F5 to start slide show mode.
3.Wait a few seconds until it automatically advances to slide 2

Actual Results:
When it gos to 2nd slide I see a black screen instead of graphic.

Expected Results:
2nd slide would show graphic shown in edit mode of impress and then advance to slide 3 after a few seconds.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Does it work if you disable OpenGl ? -> https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/OpenGL

I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to
'UNCONFIRMED' if the issue is still present
Comment 4 Steve 2019-09-02 18:34:06 UTC
It does not work when I disable OpenGl. The behavior is the same as when OpenGl is enabled.

I noticed another hint on what is going on. In some cases manually clicking on the slideshow screen when it is on the 2nd slide (with black screen) will then show the correct 2nd slide and then advance to the 3rd slide.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Load file into Impress.
2.Press F5 to start slide show mode.
3.Wait a few seconds until it automatically advances to slide 2
4.Screen is black for me
5.Wait 10 seconds more and click in slideshow screen
6.Slideshow screen shows 2nd graphic and then advances to 3rd graphic

Falla en LibreOffice Impress

The failure not only occurs with PowerPoint files but also with Impress's own files, when applying transparency to any object that has a fill with geometric degradation (quadratic, axial, ellipsoid or linear), the area appears completely dark; failure does not occur with filled objects in solid mode.

Falla de LibreOffice Impress (generando archivos PDF)

The fault also appears when generating a PDF file.
Comment 7 Timur 2019-11-05 15:32:01 UTC
I repro for attachment 153763 [details] with LO 4.3 and 6.4+ with and without OpenGL.
Seems that image doesn't load also in OO 3.3 (regardless there's no automatic transition).

Reason seems to be "Start on Click" picture fade Animation in MS Office only for this JPEG image on slide 2.
That being found, I can't say why slide advances in MSO. Maybe timed slide advance overrules "Start on Click" animation.
And that would be the bug.

As for Xisco unable to reproduce, I can't explain. I set to New.
Note: Also suffering from slide transition Fade bug 91456 but that's not the cause, all slides are set as fade.

Test file without image animation

Same PPTX file without image animation loads image OK (not counting other bugs).
