Description Aaron O 2019-09-02 13:31:12 UTC
Description:
I changed the Master Slide background to Color -> black, and this changed all my pre-existing slides to black background, which is good. However, as soon as I create a new slide, all settings for the Master Slide are reverted and all of my slides turn white again.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new document
2. Hit Master View under Properties
3. Change background color to black
4. Close Master View
5. Add a new slide

Actual Results:
When new slide is added, all slides revert to white.

Expected Results:
All slides stay black, including newly-added.

Saving and opening it as a Template didn't appear to work, either.

Reproducible: Always

Thank you for reporting the bug.
it seems you're using an old version of LibreOffice.
Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ?
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to
'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.

I tried to do the same thing in 6.3 and it looks like the option to change the Master Slide Background Color has been removed entirely. I tried adding a black png for the background and it seemed to stick, but it was a few more steps than just changing the background color.

Hello Aaron,
Yes, the widget is hidden in the latest version due to another issue ( bug 111306 - https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=c57f10b67fceef47d304d74dce93be7389a7720c )
