Description Markus Elfring 2019-12-27 12:30:12 UTC
Information for charts can be provided by a data table.
https://help.libreoffice.org/6.4/en-GB/text/schart/01/03010000.html

I suggest to add content from an other information source to such a data table according to the current column configuration.
* Import entries from a table of the same document.
* Select details from an external file.

>The Chart Data Table dialogue box is not available if you insert a chart that is based on a Calc sheet or on a Writer table.

So you can create a chart using existing Writer table with data
And you can use DDE link to create a Writer table from external sourse like Calc table and then create a chart from that Writer table

Don't think it enhancement will be useful

-1 from me
