Description Markus Elfring 2019-12-27 11:48:41 UTC
Information for charts can be provided by a data table.
https://help.libreoffice.org/6.4/en-GB/text/schart/01/03010000.html

I suggest to replace such a data table by content from an other information source.
* Import entries from a table of the same document
* External file

Makes no sense to me to _replace_ the data. You may load the data from another source (bug 129642) but it needs to go somewhere. So let's close this ticket as WF.

Your imaginations seem to be too limited once more.
I hope that a better understanding of usage requirements will evolve (also according to the initial description of another possible software xtension).
