The page https://help.libreoffice.org/7.0/en-US/text/scalc/02/06030000.html?DbPAR=CALC#bm_id3157909, discusses the sigma icon in the Formula bar. This was previously a quick way to insert a sum function (as in the help description) but has now been extended to include a drop-down which enables selection from a few common functions.

Help page needs updating.
