This is a meta issue to track the bugs and tasks of documenting new features introduced in LibreOffice that has no User Guide or References written in the LOCALHELP. Just open a bug indicating the missing help pages and add it as a dependency of this one.

Created attachment 101702 [details] Analysis about help of 4.0 features Hi Olivier, thanks for bring this matter into the community attention. More than a year ago I posted in QA list about this issue, without any success, about 4.0 features. (http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/LibreOffice-help-update-tc4048388.html#a4048685). I think an appropriate help does more brilliant, visible and usable developer's work, and also easier the life for the user and the people trying to help users in Ask, ML, etc. An everybody wins.

Hi Ohallot, Samuel, Adolfo and I have been keeping track of visible string changes in this wiki page < https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Documentation/RecentStringChanges > and Sophie said to add it here.
Thanks for adding it here. The idea is to open a bug (AKA task) to update helpcontent2 when the UI changes. That bug is very likely an EasyHack to be fixed by the community.

Added bug 107758 to add documentation on using Customize of Context Menu new feature.
The meaning of this meta bug was diluted over the years. I removed many reports that do not deal with new features needing documentation. Everyone: remember that meta bugs should provide some additional value. The component "Documentation" already tells us that there is *some need* concerning Help. If we throw absolutely everything under "HelpGaps" it becomes meaningless. I have changed the alias to be more precise and hopefully avoid sprawl. In this sense, I also question the usefulness of "Bug 106040 (Help) - [META] Help bugs and enhancements". I get it that it might be aimed to be a "meta bug for meta bugs", but the name really does not describe this. People have already thrown random bugs into it.
(In reply to Buovjaga from comment #35) Meta bugs should provide an overview of bugs of a specific topic in a way that other existing ways can't provide. Therefore a meta meta bug collects all meta bugs of this topic as well as other single bugs that don't fit into a (sub) meta. For me, this meta isn't only for missing help about new features but missing help or partial missing help info for EVERY feature in LibreOffice.

What you describe is the component "Documentation" - by default I would expect reports against it to be about missing stuff in help. Meta bugs need to be about something more fine-grained. Let's keep this for the original purpose outlined in comment 0. No removed features. No stuff about changes to existing features. No menu changes. etc.
Alright, I'll see if bugs don't fit into this meta anymore. I'll adapt the summary and alias accordingly.
