Hello. In the file https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/images/9/96/WG40-WriterGuideLO.odt it seems it is not explained how to remove hyperlinks. On pages 104 to 106 it is explained how to insert or edit hyperlinks, and one would expect there a paragraph about removing them. Moreover, it is stated there http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/2107/deleting-hyperlinks/ that clearing direct formatting would remove hyperlinks, which is not the case for my version of LibreOffice 4.1.5.3 on Mageia 4, KDE (Build ID: 4.1.5.3-1.mga4).

To remove a hyperlink in Writer, right-click on it and then select 'Remove Hyperlink' from the drop-down list. I agree that this information does not seem to be in the current stable release of the Writer Guide. I'll mark this bug as 'NEW'. > Moreover, it is stated there > http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/2107/deleting-hyperlinks/ > that clearing direct formatting would remove hyperlinks, which is not the > case for my version of LibreOffice 4.1.5.3 on Mageia 4, KDE (Build ID: > 4.1.5.3-1.mga4). It looks like that question is talking about hyperlinks in Calc cells, which *can* be removed with Clear Direct Formatting, whereas you're talking about hyperlinks in Writer, which *can't* (as far as I can tell) be removed with Clear Direct Formatting. I'm not sure if we have documentation describing the different behavior, but consistency between the way that Clear Direct Formatting works in Writer and Calc would be appreciated. Perhaps the Documentation Team can make a note of this behavior for user clarity.

This is still an issue (5.0.3 Windows), although I believe it more of a 'feature improvement' than a bug, and I think it would be sensible to review the hyperlink dialogue to include a remove button, and create a context menu for 'remove'. I will go through and attempt to link similar bugs.
