Created attachment 161319 [details] form fields with default font LibreOffice can create PDF forms. When such files are opened in Acrobat Reader (tested in 2017 version) the text that is filled in shows up as ⦁⦁⦁⦁⦁ symbols. This was already noticed in 2018. https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/163428/when-form-is-converted-to-pdf-dots-appear-instead-of-text/?answer=246669#post-id-246669 A solution is to set the font in the text field to 'Arial'.

Jos, thank you for reporting the bug. It seems you're using an old version of LibreOffice. Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.
