DRAW: Inconsistancy of Linewidth selection between 'Line an Filling' Toolbar (shows mm, in steps of 0.5 mm (!)) and the Properties (Line>Width) panel (shows range of selections in points). Both should be the same. Either in mm (and there ought to be a range?) or in points. Although we work in metric, linewidth in points would also be OK. Standard metric pensizes (line width) in mm are: 0.18, 0.25, 0.35, 0.5, 0.7, 1.0 mm Note: This may be the same problem as was (tried to) report in Bug ID 106231
I did not find a field for the system info you probably need !? Her it is: Version: 6.4.7.2 Build ID: 639b8ac485750d5696d7590a72ef1b496725cfb5 CPU threads: 2; OS: Mac OS X 10.11.6; UI render: GL; VCL: osx; Locale: en-BW (en.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US Calc: threaded
I consider this as error. All other places but line width of the Sidebar use the unit, which was set in Tools > Options > Draw > General > Settings > 'Unit of measurment:' when the document was last saved. The unit is a property of the document in Draw. We might allow a smaller unit of same kind, examples: general unit "meter"-> line width "centimeter", general unit "inch"-> line width "point". But even for that I would prefer to do it not automatically. There exists a request of line width in "pt" for Writer: bug 134448. There exists a similar report bug 105176, which was -I think wrongly- resolved as duplicate to bug 72662. Reading several reports, I think it might be necessary to distinguish between Writer and Draw/Impress. Line width in "pt" or not needs to be discussed in UX team.
