Multi-selection is pointless for styles since you can do batch operations per hierarchy. If the document contains badly organized styles, meaning the mentioned 1000 all under Default, it's a user fault. => WF

Multi-selection brings us to other challenges such as bug 55457.

I disagree. Removing styles is not something about "operations per hierarchy". And having 1000 styles is *not* a user fault, since it may come from import of an external format, which user can't control, but that is perfectly normal use case.

Was the bug number mistyped? Seems unrelated.

Sure, it's bug 94427. And actually I can multi-select user-defined paragraph styles and delete all in once with v6.4.

Indeed; so in fact, this is INVALID, since it asks for what is already implemented (if you choose any style filter except Hierarchical, AFAICT).

How can I multi-select styles and delete them? I've tried this with PS and CS and it doesn't work for me.
