Description Jan Vlug 2021-02-13 10:26:45 UTC
Description:
Text in LibreOffice is is inconsistently sharp or blurred on my Fedora Linux system running GNOME Wayland with two displays. One regular display and one HiDPI display, zoomed to 150%.
This issue can be manifest at the same time in two different documents using the same font, see screenshot.
Resizing the window with the blurry text makes the text sharp again.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Move a Writer window with text in it from the HiDPI display to the normal display.
2. Maximize this window in the normal display.
3. Drag the window to the HiDPI display, the text becomes blurry.
4. Resize the window on the HiDPI display, the text becomes sharp.

Actual Results:
After moving the Writer window to a 150% scaled HiDPI display in GNOME Wayland the text rendering is burry.

Expected Results:
The text should always be rendered sharply.

Reproducible: Always

Please update your LibreOffice to latest stable version like 7.1.3 and try retest the problem
Comment 3 Jan Vlug 2021-05-22 20:53:13 UTC
This still happens in LibreOffice 7.1.3.2 on a fully up-to-date Fedora 34.

I am seeing the same problem using LibreOffice 7.3.3.2 on Ubuntu 22.04 using wayland.

The texts become blurry when I move the window to a HiDPI display with 200% scale.

The texts become sharp when I move the window to a normal display with 100% scale.
